FEAR OF FAILURE AND SELF-ESTEEM AS PREDICTORS OF ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS

In this study, the researcher investigated role of fear failure and different aspects self-esteem (positivity, openness, competence, humility, self-worth, learning orientation) in relation to academic procrastination. The primary data was collected from a sample 200 students (96 males 104 females) St. Johns College, Agra. were selected using random cluster multistage sampling, their age ranged 17 25 years. study utilized three scales for collection: Academic Procrastination Scale by Gupta Bashir (2018), Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory Conroy (2003), Self-Esteem Dhar (2015). then analyzed t-tests, Pearson correlations, linear regression SPSS-22. results t-tests indicated significant differences between male female terms procrastination, failure. Male scored higher than while self-worth compared students. correlation analysis revealed positive negative association subscales Furthermore, analyses that predictors procrastination among college summary, explored relationship failure, self-esteem, findings suggest low are associated with levels KEYWORDS: Fear Failure, Self-Esteem, Procrastination.
